SWVS’s Veterinary Technician Case Report Challenge Offers Valuable Feedback from Experts, Bragging Rights & Prizes at SWVS 2023
Have you always wondered if you would be a good public speaker? Do you want to start lecturing but have no idea where to begin or how to start? The 2023 SWVS Veterinary Technician Case Report Challenges may be the start of your public speaking career in veterinary medicine. Join us at SWVS 2023 September 21-24, 2023, in San Antonio, TX for the Veterinary Technician Case Report Challenge!
Candidates are required to be credentialed veterinary technicians and a member in good standing within their state. Candidates are required to have little to no previous, paid lecturing experience. This will be a positive learning experience for all. We are looking for unique and interesting case management and nursing care scenarios. No limitation to species or case type. Everyone is welcome!
The case the candidate wishes to submit must be reviewed by a DVM or board-certified specialist to ensure the material is of the highest quality. A committee will review all case outlines to determine who will be selected to present their case report at SWVS. Each candidate will be evaluated based on unique qualities of their case, presentation quality, ability to present within the allotted time, and their response to the audience’s questions. The winner of the case report challenge will be determined by a panel of judges and a prize will be awarded to that individual.

SWVS invites all first-time attendees to come together and experience our southern hospitality Thursday evening for a brief reception hosted by our Board of Managers. Enjoy complimentary food and drinks and meet new colleagues as you network with other first-time attendees and become oriented with our symposium.

A quiet zone for any registered attendee. It is meant to create peace, tranquility, and focus. The type of break we could all use, right? The purpose of having a separate room for this is to provide our attendees an escape and a chance to hang out away from meetings for a bit. No talking, food or drink allowed.

SCAVENGER HUNT
We have a fun way for SWVS attendees and exhibitors to network while earning a chance to win awesome prizes. To play, simply find a participating booth and have your badge scanned at the participating booth. Once you have completed the Scavenger Hunt you will be automatically entered in the Scavenger Hunt drawings for the chance to win fabulous prizes.
The Scavenger Hunt has proven to be a successful venture for our exhibitors as well. Exhibitors will drive engagement, and collect valuable leads by participating in this program. In the past, feedback from exhibitors has been overwhelmingly positive and brands have used it as a great way to make connections and start conversations.
