The Southwest Veterinary Symposium will once again welcome those that support veterinary medicine in our regions to include: DVMs, Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Practice Mangers, Office Staff, Speakers, Sponsors and Exhibitors.
A maximum of 28 CE credit hours are available for the SWVS General Symposium. Additional credit hours are available through the purchase of ticketed events (Interactive Labs, Master Classes and CE Tours). In addition, DVMs licensed in Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texas may claim 2 hours of CE for visiting the SWVS Exhibit Hall. Please check with your state veterinary medical licensing board for specific CE allowances and requirements. It is the individual’s responsibility to maintain and submit CE records as required. Attendees are encouraged to consult their state licensing board for specific allowances and any restrictions on the number of hours accepted for specialty and nonscience sessions (practice management).
Our course titled SWVS 2023 has been RACE approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards.
The Practice Management/Office Personnel classes were reviewed and approved by the VHMA program for 36 hours of continuing education in jurisdictions which recognize VHMA approval. Please contact the VHMA program if you have any comments/concerns regarding this program’s validity or relevancy to the veterinary profession.
