Shuttle service will be offered from the following official SWVS hotels: Hyatt Regency and Sheraton Gunter.
Shuttles will run daily from Thursday – Sunday.
Thursday....... 10:00 am – 10:30 pm
Friday............... 6:30 am – 10:30 pm
Saturday.......... 6:30 am – 10:30 pm
Sunday............ 6:30 am – 4:00 pm
The San Antonio International Airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the downtown business district with a travel time of approximately 15 to 30 minutes by car.
Airport Shuttle Service
Book your airport shuttle in advance to take advantage of discounts. Go to www.swvs.org, and click on About San Antonio to reserve your shuttle. If you don’t make reservations in advance follow the signs in the baggage claim area to purchase shuttle service tickets. Shuttle service to the downtown area is $18 one-way or $32 round-trip. Reservations are required for the return trip to the airport.
Taxi Cab Rates
– Two to six ride for the price of one. Approximate fares, not including tips, to the downtown business district from the airport range from $24 - $26.
Streetcar – If you’re in town for a few days and want to take advantage of the Streetcar, your best deal is to buy a One Day Pass for $4.00. You may order your pass online, go to www.swvs.org, and click on About San Antonio or stop by the San Antonio CVB booth located in the SWVS Registration Area. When you get in town, pick up a streetcar brochure in your hotel lobby. All four streetcar routes connect you to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
River Taxi – The River Taxi stops at 39 locations on the River Walk. Purchase a one-way pass for $4, 24-hour pass for $10 or a 3-day pass, $25. Look for the river cruiser with the black and yellow checkered flag.
Taxi – In the downtown area, there is a minimum charge of $5. Two - six people ride for the price of one.
The Sightseer Special Bus – The Sightseer Special (Bus 7) runs daily between the city’s favorite sites. You can travel to them all for one price. Locations visited by the Sightseer Special include: River Walk Streetcar Station, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Alamo, San Antonio Museum of Art, Japanese Tea Garden, Brackenridge Park, San Antonio Zoo, Trinity University, University of Incarnate Word, Witte Museum and San Antonio Botanical Garden.
The Convention Center is an easy walk from the SWVS Official hotels in the downtown area. For exact routes see page 57 of the Symposium Guide.
Parking
There are many parking options in San Antonio; however, no parking is available at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The main parking lots are the Marina Parking Garage located adjacent to the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel and across the street from the Grand Hyatt. There is event parking in the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The current cost of parking is approximately $8.00 a day with no in & out privileges.
Complimentary refreshments will be served Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings 7:00 - 8:00 am. The Hospitality Center will be located on the Street Level; Exhibit Hall C.
Services provided at the SWVS Communication Center include complimentary email and Internet access.

Speaker Ready Room
The speaker ready room will be open to all presenters and moderators. Presenters can obtain information on their assignments. A lounge area will offer online access and a place to visit with peers or simply relax.
