Come take advantage of the valuable sources of product and service information available at the 2008 Southwest Veterinary Symposium Exhibit Hall located in the Dallas Convention Center. Symposium registrants can inquire about new techniques and procedures and purchase products at over 225 exhibit booths. While you browse, be sure to enjoy the complimentary beverages offered throughout the Exhibit Hall. Complimentary lunch on Friday will also be in the Exhibit Hall for registered professional attendees. Guests and children (under 17 years of age must be with parent) with a guest badge are welcome to visit the Exhibit Hall floor as well.

SWVS CENTRAL and SWVS MAIN STAGE
SWVS Central is the home of the SWVS Main Stage. Main Stage presents a variety of great entertainment for you to enjoy while visiting the Exhibit Hall. A number of exhibitors will present information on Main Stage during lunch. SWVS Central will provide information on SWVS and future symposia and partner state Veterinary Medical Association (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas) information. You can find information on upcoming VMA activities, upcoming CE programs and information on how to become a member of these VMAs.

Exhibit Hall Grand Opening Reception
SWVS registrants are invited to celebrate with our exhibitors at the Grand Opening Reception of the Exhibit Hall on Friday, October 3 from 5:30-7 pm. Enjoy an evening of fun and education on the exhibit floor. One complimentary drink ticket for this event is included in the professional registration fee. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase at the cash bars in the Exhibit Hall. Also, enjoy delicious appetizers served throughout the evening.

Lunch Tickets
Complimentary hot buffet lunch will be provided to all registered professional attendees on Friday in the Exhibit Hall. Guests may pre-purchase a Friday lunch ticket at the time that they register as well as on-site at the Symposium. On Saturday and Sunday, lunch concessions will be available in the Exhibit Hall.

CE Credit
Veterinarians licensed in Arkansas, New Mexico Oklahoma and Texas may claim two (2) additional credit hours for visiting the Exhibit Hall. DVMs from states other than those listed should contact their state licensing board to check eligibility for Exhibit Hall credit hours.

PRIZE DRAWINGS
Prize Drawings Valued at $10,000
Come one and all to the SWVS Exhibit Hall, where we will give away $10,000 in prizes! Prizes include shopping sprees, free registration to SWVS 2009, and the Grand Prize, which includes registration for SWVS 2009, hotel accommodations, travel expenses, and a shopping spree on the exhibit floor for DVMs.

How to Participate

1. Register for the Southwest Veterinary Symposium by the Early Bird Deadline, August 29th. This gives you an automatic entry!
2. Visit the Exhibit Hall. DVMs receive an additional entry for every $250 spent in the exhibit floor and technicians/hospital personnel receive an additional entry for every $100 spent on the exhibit floor. The more you buy the more entries you get.
3. You must be present to win.

Official Rules
To enter: DVMs and technicians/hospital personnel will automatically be entered in the Prize Drawing upon their paid registration by August 29, 2008 for SWVS 2009 at the Dallas Convention Center.

Eligibility: Participation is restricted to DVMs and technicians/hospital personnel 21 years or older. Members of the SWVS Managing Board of Directors/CE Committee Members, SWVS staff, and anyone employed or contracted by an exhibiting company are not eligible to enter the prize drawing.

• No cash will be given.
• Only 1 prize per person.
• Must be present to win.
• Name on receipt(s) used to redeem additional entries will be used on tickets.
• Winners must provide photo ID or name badge when claiming their prize.

Drawing: The winners will be selected in a random drawing held in the Exhibit Hall. You must be present to win. An independent judge whose decisions are final will perform the drawings. The winner will be given 5 minutes to come forward and claim the prize or another name will be drawn and the original winner will forfeit the prize. The original or prior name(s) drawn will remain in the drawing.

Winners must purchase all equipment/supplies/products, etc, by 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2008.

Please allow a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the scheduled drawing time to submit your request for additional tickets based on any purchases made on the exhibit floor.

Odds of winning depend solely on the number of DVM and technician/hospital personnel registrants and the additional tickets available based on purchases on the exhibit floor.

Prize drawings that consist of a shopping spree must be used on the exhibit floor in the amount indicated less state tax paid.

Grand Prize drawing: Travel expenses consist of either 1 coach airline ticket (airline will be at the discretion of SWVS) or the equivalent mileage costs from the winner’s destination city (listed on the registration form) at the current IRS mileage allowances, whichever is less.
