Housing Scam Warning

Unknown companies may contact SWVS exhibitors and attendees falsely claiming to represent SWVS and the 2012 SWVS Annual Symposium in Dallas, TX. DO NOT make any reservations through unknown companies. Most importantly, do not provide them your personal information, especially your credit card number. These rogue companies (commonly referred to as "pirates" or "bandits") may charge your credit card for services not rendered.

The official hotel reservation/housing services company for the Southwest Veterinary Symposium is J Spargo & Associates. All reservations must go through J Spargo & Associates, 11208 Waples Mill Rd., Suite 112, Fairfax, VA 22030. If you are contacted by anyone else asking if you "need a room at the upcoming Annual Symposium" or representing themselves as the "SWVS Housing Bureau," please get as much information as you can – such as name of the company, the person calling, and their telephone number – and immediately email these details to swvshousing@jspargo.com.

Dallas Convention Center
The Dallas Convention Center is located in downtown Dallas, surrounded by great shops, restaurants and museums. View Driving Directions.

The Dallas Convention Center has two separate parking garages and three parking lots. Parking charge is $12.00 per entry vehicle, no in or out. View Parking Details.

Getting Around Dallas

DART Light Rail System
DART Rail stops at ground level at the Convention Center Station under Exhibit Halls E & F. From the stopped train walk toward Lamar then turn left or north on Lamar to the driveway and access to the lobbies of the DCC via the stairs, escalators, and elevators. View information on ride schedules.

McKinney Avenue Trolley
The M-Line's air-conditioned and heated trolleys run 365 days a year, providing local transit service to Dallas' vibrant Uptown Neighborhood.

Taxis
The Dallas Convention Center has an electronic kiosk in Lower C Lobby where guests can order transportation to hotels and the airport. This transportation kiosk is sponsored by Yellow Cab. View taxi rates.
